For over 20 years, Nathan Hartman has been solving technical accounting and auditing issues and providing problem resolution. He manages all aspects of financial statement attestation engagements for SEC, closely held, nonprofit, and governmental clients.
At BDO, Nathan has an important role in ensuring that processes are effective and efficient. He runs the department meetings, monitors and sets department goals, and is highly involved in staffing decisions. To make sure PS is staying on top of industry trends, Nathan is always looking for ways to differentiate PS through value-added services.
Nathan is a natural educator and business advisor – which has led him to teach high-level accounting and attestation classes to professional staff, including topics such as 409A stock-based compensation, ASC 805 business combinations, accounting for income taxes, and quality control standards. As Peterson Sullivan’s Quality Control Partner, he leads the firm’s annual internal office inspection to ensure the firm is following appropriate professional standards and maintaining its quality control.
